This project began with the imagination that grew from my old red vintage wardrobe. I have always seen clothing as more than something to wear. It reflects who we are, how we feel, and sometimes who we want to become. Whenever I looked at my clothes, I naturally imagined scenes and stories that belonged to each outfit. I wanted to bring those private imaginations to life.
Using AI as a creative tool, I designed surreal miniature worlds where flowers bloom with movement, breathing, or watering plants. Inspired by the Korean expression "imagination blooms," flowers became the visual language of imagination itself. Rather than hiding AI's dreamlike imperfections, I intentionally embraced them as part of the atmosphere, using them to create a surreal cinematic mise-en-scène.
It made me truly understand Martin Scorsese's idea that "the most personal is the most creative." By visualizing the imaginary worlds I had created around something as ordinary as my own wardrobe, I was able to understand my own creative preferences more clearly. More importantly, translating vague ideas into prompts, visual language, movement, and cinematic composition pushed me to think more deeply about visual storytelling itself. As my understanding of these elements grew, so did the quality of the results. Rather than slowing me down, the time I spent experimenting ultimately made the creative process both more efficient and far more enjoyable.

Background
I have a red second-hand wardrobe filled with clothes I love.
This project began with my desire to visualize the stories I imagine behind them — stories from another dimension I have never lived in.
Ideation
In Korean, the expression “to bloom like a flower” is often used to describe imagination, creativity, and ideas flourishing and taking shape. I believed that AI could help bring my imagination and affection for my clothes to life, allowing those ideas to bloom in new ways.
Process
1) Imagination to Visualization
Character: Generated a Generated a completely new character with features unlike my own.
Styling: Designed outfits by defining silhouettes, fabrics, colors, and accessories.
Lookbook: Combined character and wardrobe systems into a cohesive editorial collection.
2) "Of Other Spaces"
I intentionally designed the spaces as theatrical sets, emphasizing the wardrobe as a heterotopic space between reality and imagination.
3) Make it Move
For the image-to-video process, blooming flower effects were added to each scene, symbolizing the blossoming of imagination.
